dancing:

I have always felt passionate about dance. I love the way you can express emotion through movement. I have been dancing since I was four years old and am versatile in many different dance styles. Starting out as a street dancer and freestyle disco dancer with Breakout Dance Company as well as training in gymnastics and tumbling to help improve my dance skills.

In 2019 I trained with House of Talent School (H.O.T) in commercial dance in London. Each term we have the opportunity to work with different highly skilled dance choreographers, voice and acting coaches. Our current dance teacher is the super talented Mryon Birch,  I really love his FIERCE style and I find his classes really inspiring. Prior to this I was blessed to receive a dance scholarship with the London Elite Dance Company, and I am so grateful for the training.

Lukas McFarlane, Chloe Ferns, Denzel Daniels, Brendon hansford, Chloe James, Vicki Slater, Jenifer Ellison and Frazer Murray are also some of my favourite inspirational teachers, they are all insane dancers and I have learnt a lot from each of them at Move It dance workshops and from training with Spirit Young Dance Company (SpiritYDC) and Breakout Dance company. My local dance school is Rise Studios and we have the opportunity perform regularly at local events and here I take my graded dance examinations. I asm also part of the Rise Dance Company and we are taught by the very talented Micah McLeod with influences of Afro Beats.

In 2016, I  auditioned and was so happy to have won a place with Spirit Young Dance Company. During my time with SpiritYDC I was Invited to be part of the competition team and competed for a year before moving across to YSF. At SpiritYDC I've learnt a lot, particularly in how to improve my technique and leaps and turns, making me a stronger more confident dancer. Our team had the honour of performing our Game of Thrones dance on the main stage at Move it, which is another memory I cherish. This video can be viewed here.

In Christmas of  2015,  I enjoyed performing in the Ballet Production of Sleeping Beauty with the English Youth Ballet As a charm girl and a kitten which again was an incredible experience.  In the same year aged just 11, I completed my level 1 OFQUAL sports leadership teaching award, enabling me to teach dance under direct supervision. Thank you to my mentor,  Vicki Slater at Breakout Dance Company who supported me to gain this qualification at such a young age. I then took the initiative to give something back and supported by my teachers, taught an after school dance club, which I loved!
